Wild Tree Beer Bread

So recently I took a journey into a company that is so AMAZING! The teams are awesome, the products are DELICIOUS, and to top it off they are all HEALTHY!!! Wild Tree Products are 100% Organic, No GMOs and peanut free!

Well I’ve never made bread before and given to me in my kit was this “Quick and easy Beer Bread”, and seriously its so quick and easy! All you need…

  • Wild Tree Beer bread Mix
  • 1 can of Beer
  • bowl for mixing
  • whisk

See I’m not kidding soooooo easy!


Here is the Wild Tree Mix….IMG_1181

Everything spread out that you will need…..IMG_1182

Take your baking pan and greasy that baby up!……IMG_1183

Add beer to the mix……IMG_1185

Then mix mix mix. It will be thick and chunky.IMG_1190

Lay it evenly on the pan…..IMG_1191

Bake at 350* for 50 mins, then butter top and pop it back in for 5 mins

AND DONE! I can see adding some oil or herbs such as rosemary which would make it super good!

Quick Deco for under $8



I wanted to add some spunk to my bathroom BUT didn’t want to spend a fortune. So I went to my hot spot for $1 items and found some things that went great!

I got 5 wall art decorations that matched, and a couple baskets (used hand towels I already had). Plus big score is the $5 bag of smell good I got on 75% clearance at Walmart. 🙂 20140109_130630


Then I got to thinking…well I have a corner in my kitchen that could use some deco…so again I got wall art and baskets 🙂 (I used thumb tacks to hold the baskets on the wall.



Tada! Quick and easy deco to DD a little something to your little areas.


Chicken Enchiladas, Orale!

After last nights Fried Rice I still had two chicken breasts left over so I decided to make Chicken Enchiladas! BUT I didn’t have enchilada sauce or Tortillas 😦    Well that didn’t stop me one bit! I decided to make my own sauce and my own Tortillas. Of course I look in my cabinet and we are out of chili powder, and cumin so I did some researching as did some altering to a recipe.

Enchilada Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup olive oil
  • 2 Tblsp Flower
  • 1 8 Oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Water
  • 1/2 tsp cumin ( I used taco season)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 Cup Chili Powder

I didn’t have Chili Powder so I made my own. 2 tsp Garlic Powder, 1 tsp Cajun Season, 1 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp Garlic & Herb Season, 2 TBsp Taco season. It came out not too bad actually. I guess there is cumin in taco seasoning. lol.

Okay now onto the Sauce…


In a pan pour Your Oil, Flower, and chili Powder, whisking this thicken.

Then Whisk in the water and Tomato Sauce, and last add the spices and mix all together and cooked till thickened. Which will take about 10 mins.


Next I cooked the chicken I had left over which was one big breast and one smaller, I boiled them for about 20 mins till they cooked all the way through. Then I shredded them and then added some sauce to marinate, covered and set it aside.


Now for the Tortillas…


  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 3/4 Cups warm water
  • 3 Tblsp Olive Oil


Take the wet and mix into the dry, mix well and dough will form, take out and kneed in some flour then place ball to side and let sit for 15 mins.


Then take dough and roll into 8 balls, then roll them out into circles.


Cook in a pan ( I hear a flat pan or a cast iron works best)


Now that everything is done….let assemble the final product!

I love cheese on my enchiladas so I added a mixture of cheddar, Mozz,  and Pepper Jack! YUM!!!

Okay so your going to take chicken lay it on the Tortilla, add cheese, roll and add to dish with a layer of sauce on the bottom, fill it and then add sauce over the top. I had some left over chicken so I added that on top too. 🙂


Then add cheese to the top and be very generous 😉 Bake in the Oven at 380* for 15 mins.


Tada!!! An awesome dinner from scratch 😉

Chicken Fried Rice So Yum!

So this kiddo in my belly has been making crave some Asian food! Now I could have easily went to the nearest Chinese place and got food, but where is the fun in that?! I’ve always wanted to know how to make fried rice so I decided to teach myself! 🙂

So I did what every other regular person did and hopped on Pinterest and looked for a quick and easy recipe. Finally found one and got to prepping! I did make some changes though, so I will tell you what I did different.

However I did my own pictures because I got a new camera for Christmas and who wouldn’t want to take pictures of their food?! 😛

Okay so here we go….

What I used
=2 cups prepared rice (I used brown minute rice)
-2 chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces and seasoned with salt & pepper (could use leftover cooked chicken) My husband prefers more meat to rice ratio.
-1/2 cup frozen mixed peppers (you can use veggies but I didn’t have any at the moment)
-(You can add these but I didn’t) 2 green onions, chopped
-1 clove garlic, minced
-1 egg
-3 teaspoons sesame or wok oil (I will show you where to put each tsp)
-2 Tablespoons soy sauce (or more to taste)

Prep took me about 10 mins… Here is everything laid out.

IMG_0847 2 Cups of cooked Brown Rice (I used min rice)

IMG_0849 2 Chicken Breasts chopped up into bite size chunks

IMG_0850 1/2 cup of frozen mixed bell peppers ( you can use veggies)

IMG_0851 I also added some bean sprouts

IMG_0852 And here is the 2 TBLSP of Soy Sauce, 1 egg with 1 TSP of Sesame Oil whisked together and 1/4 cup of water chestnuts (for that little crunch).

IMG_0856 IMG_0865 IMG_0874 Drop 1 TSP of the sesame oil into the Wok, take the chicken and cook it through and brown it a little then set it aside on a plate.

IMG_0866 So once you move the chicken out take 1 TSP of Sesame Oil and toss it in the Wok. Then add your Veggies.


Cook it down till the veggies are translucent and softer…then make a WHOLE in the middle of the veggies and pour your egg sesame oil mixture in the middle.


Cook the egg all the way through then add in your chicken and rice , pour in the 2 TBLSP of soy sauce in and mix all that yummy goodness together!

DIY Kids Room Deco for Small $’s!

So I have been trying to find a way to decorate my kids room on a very small budget, and with things that are not high in COST but high in MEANING. Well once again my favorite place for fun decorations is $Tree so that’s where I headed!

One thing that has a lot of meaning in our life is the book “Where the Wild Things Are” and we have been given some pieces to place in the kids room. I had an extra book (I don’t know how that happen) so I used it as a basis for what I wanted.

What I did was separate the pages fromt he book binding and one by one slowly separated the pages as to not damage the pictures from the glue. I then picked out which ever pictures I wanted.

Now I know I can write a bunch of pointless instructions but the pictures should tell you exactly what you need to do. At the end I will show you a different way you can do it 🙂

So because I had the book already all I needed was the Frames…So doing this cute decoration only cost me $6!

Now if your not good at drawing letters and you don’t have a stencil, you can print letters out, or like I did for my Monster I bought some letter punch outs from $Tree.

The best way to save the money is to use what you already have and only buy frames!

Easy DIY Projects for Cheap!

I have learned as a mother how craft on a budget. Dollar Store is my GO TO place for items to craft with! Here are some fun things you can do for just a couple dollars!!!

FIRST- A cool vase for decorating anywhere in your house! I went to $Tree and bought a Vase and glass beads. I already had a glue gun, took the beads and glued them to the vase. Bam! A cool looking Vase for just $2!


Next is a painting project for Monster. $Tree paint of 4 colors, ziploc bags and a white board. tape board to floor, put paint in bags and tape to white board and tada! Fun MESS FREE painting project for just $3!!!


Need some cute organizing bins but dont want to spend a fortune? Tke a snack box and some Tack paper from the $Tree and BAM! A cute decorative bin for just $1! I use mine to hold pasta, rice and beans.



Next one is super cute for layered storage in your bathroom or kitchen. A set of 2 Oven covers (metal) for $1, and a candle holder for $1, and cover it with Tack paper $1…..cover the oven covers with the tack paper and glue each one to the top and bottom of the candle holder and there ya go! a cute organizer 😉 just $3!



I needed a place to keep Monsters Movies where she could get ahold of them because she will destroy them with her toddler powers! So I got these crate organizers for $Tree and nailed them to the wall in 5 points (2 top corners 2 btm corners and the middle) They are solid for sure! Now they look like floating movie holder for just $1 each!


Lemon Pepper Rosemary Chicken & OR Asparagus & Squash



It came out so very very good!!

Okay so what you will need is…

Chicken Breasts


Green & Yellow Squash

Red bell Pepper

Baby Bella Mushrooms


For seasoning I used Rosemary, Parsley, Lemon Pepper, Thyme, Season Salt, and Evoo

Take two pieces of foil so that you can make a little packet….

Dress Chicken on both sides with EVOO, Rosemary, Season Salt, Parsley, and Lemon Pepper.

Then cook at 375* for about 30 mins or until chicken is slightly browned and cooked all the way through….




For the veggies now ( which is what I have been craving this entire pregnancy)….

But your gonna take one clove of garlic and put it through a press, then take one stem of press rosemary and thyme and finely chop it. Take half a cup of fine chopped Red Bell Pepper and about 5 chopped mushrooms. Cook them down  in some EVOO for a 10 mins. (i added a little bit of green squash)

Then take some sliced green and yellow squash and lay them out on a sheet of foil with a drizzle of oil, the place the Asparagus on top and season with salt to taste. THEN place the cut veggies cooked on the stove on the top.

Cook for about 25 mins in the oven at 375*
